The Lotus Connection offers psychiatric services for individuals of all ages. Psychiatric Evaluations and Medication Management services are offered through our Board-Certified Family and Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner.
Psychiatric Evaluation is an evaluation that is performed to determine diagnose, or rule out, a mental health, developmental, or behavioral disorder. During a psychiatric evaluation, the psychiatric nurse practitioner, will ask questions, conduct tests, and perform observations to complete the assessment. The psychiatric nurse practitioner will gather information about current symptoms, past symptoms, genetics, and other factors to help determine a diagnosis and treatment plan. This evaluation usually takes 60 minutes to complete, but can vary depending on the complexity of the diagnosis, and your unique situation. If medication is decided to be the best option, you will be informed and educated about the specific medication uses, and side effects.

Medication Management involves monitoring medications to ensure clients achieve their desired outcomes. The prescriber will require a thorough review of prescribed medications to build your treatment plan and monitor medication efficacy. It is a comprehensive, integrated, and individualized process with the aim of achieving high quality and safety of medication management.

Therapy Services
At The Lotus Connection our Board-Certified Nurse Practitioner specializes in behavioral health treatment for all age group utilizing a variety of evidence-based treatment modalities to best suit the needs of our clients. All therapy services can be provided to clients through our HIPAA-secure telehealth platform. Therapeutic services provided include:
During a Psychosocial Assessment, our Provider will interview the client to obtain a detailed biopsychosocial history. This evaluation provides information to help formulate a diagnostic impression and begin the treatment planning process with the client. Sometimes more than one session will be required to complete this assessment. Once the assessment is complete and a treatment plan has been developed, the frequency of sessions to best suit your needs will be discussed as each individuals needs differ.
In Individual Therapy, each client works one-on-one to gain insight and increase awareness and control over their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Our goal is to provide a safe and confidential environment where clients can explore and process experiences which may be causing challenges in their life, relationships and other areas of life. The goal is to help each client identify specific goals for treatment and provides support and feedback during each session. Individual therapy may be short-term or long-term depending on the needs and goals of each client.

Children and Adolescent Services
Our Nurse Practitioner is dedicated to helping your child(ren) or adolescent with problems such as depression, anxiety, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), oppositional behavior, bipolar disorder, unresolved grief and trauma, and substance use disorders, as well as other psychiatric and dual diagnosis disorders. Medication Management, Individual therapy, and Family counseling services are offered.
